Purchasing your ticket is a confirmed booking - Tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.

Children 3 years plus require a cinema ticket. Children 2 years and below are only admitted at management discretion.

Tickets can also be purchased in advance from the Box Office, Online or via our Telephone Booking service.

Telephone Booking & Online Booking closes 30mins prior to the performance time.
Telephone Booking & Online Bookings incur a booking fee of 70p per ticket up to a ceiling price of £3.50.
This booking fee charged is for providing and maintaining the online and telephone service.

We are pleased to accept payment by Cash and most major Debit/Credit cards.

The doors to the theatre generally open 5 to 10 minutes prior to the advertised programme time.

There are mostly, but not in all cases, around 20 minutes of commercials and trailers that will start first at the stated showtime.

The use of recording devices is strictly forbidden. Please be aware that screenings are monitored for illegal recording. Piracy is a serious issue affecting everyone in the film industry. Thank you for your cooperation.

Please switch off all mobile phones as soon as the lights dim, and please do not bring food and drink purchased outside of the premises into the theatre.

The Embassy Cinema is situated in the centre of Ilfracombe High Street, opposite the Market Arches and next to the NatWest Bank. The best Car Parks to use in Ilfracombe are the Landmark Theatre and High Street Car Parks. If you use the Landmark Theatre Car Park, you need to walk up the hill opposite the Theatre, through the Market Arches and we are on the other side of the High Street. Most of the High Street car parks are within a 5-10 minute walk to the Cinema. If visiting us in the evening, (after 6pm) all High Street parking is unrestricted.

Disabled Facilities

The Embassy cinema is a three floor cinema.

Wheelchair Access - The Embassy Cinema in Ilfracombe has access problems owing to the age of the construction of the building and the fact that it is located on a steep hill. We have wheelchair spaces in Screens 2 and 7 and these can be accessed by the fire exits and the side road. There is a ramp to overcome the small steps.

Wheelchair/carer spaces cannot currently be booked online, so please contact the cinema's box office during normal opening hours to enquire about seat reservations and/or other accessible facilities on 01271 862323.

Disabled Toilets - Regrettably, disabled toilet facilities are not currently available at this venue. With main the toilets situated on the second floor (close to Screen 2) they are not easily accessible from other areas.

Infrared Hearing Aid/Induction Loop - The infrared hearing aid/induction loop is not available in any auditoriums at present.

Infrared Audio Description - Infrared audio description is not available in any auditoriums at present.

Merlin Cinemas participate with the CEA card which is a national concessionary card developed by the UKCA for UK cinemas. This allows people with disabilities to obtain one free ticket for a person accompanying them to the cinema. The aim of the CEA Card is to provide a consistent voluntary approach to the provision of complimentary tickets for people with disabilities.
